Each October Canterbury Festival offers its audience the opportunity to enjoy a wealth of theatre, music, comedy, circus, cabaret, art, sculpture, walks and talks. The 2016 Festival drew audiences of more than 65,000, of all ages, to over 200 free and ticketed events. The King’s Mile became home to a series of artist portraits, the Cathedral’s Chapter House was alight with 200 bulbs as part of an international exhibition from Bernardí Roig and a roaming 1920’s vintage dance hall housing circus, dance, cabaret, comedy and plenty of music landed at the end of the Kings Mile at Kingsmead Car Park. This year’s events will be announced in early July.

The Festival works year-round organising fund raising events, encouraging talent development and hosting community projects. We sell tickets from the office for various events and are always happy to have a chat, so come and visit us to discover more.
