Children Pastry Making Workshop
Fun activities for children of all ages and all abilities, teaching a love of food, fresh cooking, encouraging reducing packaging and processed food (after all even cake tastes better when its homemade!)

ALL sessions can be adapted to accommodate dairy free, vegan, gluten free and any other allergies or dietary needs. Please state clearly when booking

All sessions are part of Kent Children’s University programme of learning and so all sessions can be used as part of this scheme and we can stamp passports

Sessions are non-refundable and payable at the point of booking

Parents who remain can enjoy a 25% discount off all our drinks and cakes (usual afternoon offer not included in this offer)

Children will make a batch of pastry from scratch (messy activity so we suggest wearing old clothes!) Then we will make a vegetable quiche and some small apple pies.
Children will learn the health and taste benefits of making their own pastry and how this reduces packaging.
All sessions are held in our open plan kitchen and we sit together to eat their food, enhancing social skills
This workshop is suitable for children aged 8- 15 (this is a guide, contact us if your young person is outside this age range) And is suitable for children of all abilities, children with special educational needs are very welcome to all sessions
Sessions cost £12 per child and they will bring home any uneaten food (please provide a small container for this) There is a sibling discount of £2 for each sibling
Parents are welcome to stay with their children and participate or enjoy a coffee in the front of our bistro
